Casualties Of Cool is one of my favourite things, if not my favourite thing I've done to date. It’s pretty left of centre, and now that my big Z2 project and all its chaos is nearing completion, it means even more to me. A dark and quiet place to go.
Finally, its available for people who didn't order through Pledge, and I'm proud to present the video for ‘Flight’, done by long-time friend and collaborator Konrad Palkeiwicz. Konrad moved to an Island and filmed his interpretation of the song and I think it's beautiful.
We have been rehearsing for our upcoming shows at Union Chapel and Savoy Teatteri in Finland, and it’s really a pleasure to have the ability to do this type of music.'
Thank you for the support!

Here is the video for 'Mountaintop' from Casualties of Cool. I have been a fan of Jessica Cope's work for a while now, and the opportunity to work with her rose for this album and we are thrilled with the result.
Although the concept of the video is loosely based on the concept of the record, we found it worked better as a stand alone piece. Ché and I therefore decided not to have the characters in the video portray us personally.
I hope you enjoy this, I'm so happy to have an opportunity to work with brilliant artists in my career. I'm very proud of this album and video!
Devin

Devin Townsend is a Canadian musician who has been recording and releasing albums independantly for many years. He has played with many of today's best musicians and has been active in many different styles of music. He currently is working with his band, The Devin Townsend Project, as well as, 'Casualties Of Cool' with co-collaborator, Ché Aimee Dorval. Devin is endorsed by many companies and feels its his mission in life to be true to his artistic muse, despite the commercial ramifications.
Hailing from Vancouver B.C, Ché, has been performing her original songs across Canada since 2001. With influences such as Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake and Lhasa, it’s no surprise her music reflects the importance in raw and honest writing. Over the years she has shared the stage with some of Canada’s most celebrated musicians such as Sendre Lerche, Michael Buble and Dan Mangan to name a few. In 2008 she joined forces with Devin Townsend, lending her voice to his 2009 solo album ‘Ki’ which received rave reviews In 2007, Ché caught the ear of David Foster and went on to write and record Greg Wells (Rufus Wainwright, Adele) and Kara DioGuaridi in L.A.. In Late 2009 she independently released her first studio album ‘Underachiever’ comprised of 9 of her original songs and its single ‘Getting Lighter’. Ché is currently working alongside Devin Townsend in their group ‘Casualties of Cool'. Their first album release is due May 2014 and plans for a short European tour are in the works. Ché is also in the process of finishing up her second solo album produced by Andrew Loog Oldhman and Steven Drake. Stay tuned…
Morgan Ågren has been a drummer since age four and a Grammy winning musician on both sides of the Atlantic. Born in Umeå, Sweden, Mr. Ågren was spotted as an outstanding talent at a young age, and eventually joined forces with ten year old blind keyboardist Mats Öberg in 1981. In 1988, still around their late teens, Morgan and Mats got invited to play with Frank Zappa for a few different projects in the US - just before Zappa passed away. In the mid 90’s, they began releasing CDs on Morgan’s label Ultimate Audio Entertainment, eventually forming a stable band, which has amazed audiences in Europe, Asia and the USA since 2001. In 2010 Morgan was voted No.1 in Modern Drummers readers poll in the category "fusion". Morgan has also played with Devin Townsend, Squarepusher, Bill Laswell, Steve Vai, Trey Gunn, Henry Kaiser, Fleshquartet, Fredrik Thordendal (of Meshuggah), Karmakanic, Spoonman, Glenn Huges, Tony Iommi, Terry Bozzio, Mike Keneally, Denny Walley, Kaipa, Bolon Bata, Dweezil Zappa etc.
